Wow -- found this gem on our trek to Monterey. Great flavors and very friendly staff. We had two plates -- beef and chicken shwarma. Stopped by on a super hot day and really enjoyed the shwarma which came with a nice crunchy salad. They gave us plenty of tahini and a very spicy sauce (it is very very spicy). Portions are solid. Also ordered the falafel and hummus. Some of the best falafel we've had. Super crunchy, not greasy, great spices and moist in the center. We'll be back any time we're in town.
Amazing place. The food was excellent, well priced, and good portion! I didn't catch her name but I'll call her momma falafel, she was amazing! She took great care of my friend and I. We came for lunch and she checked on us a couple times to make sure we loved everything! Highly recommend, super nice and chill vibes! Liked the outdoor seating!
Food was amazing and very fairly priced! Shoutout to Dominick for making sure we had a great experience!! We will definitely be coming back next time we are in the Morgan Hill area.
Was finally able to go back after a baseball game in Gilroy! Service- still super friendly and helpful! Food- I was hoping to try their falafels pipping hot, but I think traffic from Gilroy to Morgan Hill did not cooperate with that wish! I tried one as soon as I picked up the food... still super crispy, but not hot at all. I also ordered a chicken swarma salad, two wraps, one chicken, one chicken and lamb/sirloin combo... these were kinda dry, but with hummus added, much better! The salad was pretty salty, I ate pita with it to mellow out the saltiness. While not the best meal as is... I could still tell everything was fresh, and with minor adjustments, quite tasty. Ok... if you read my earlier review, you'll know why I've been craving this spot. Yes, the baklava, oh their delicious homemade baklava! Well, PSA, they only have one tray a week of their house made baklava. The one tray goes quick, so they off set it with baklava from a local bakery. I unfortunately came when the house made baklava was already sold out, so had to settle for the bakery one. It's ok, but definitely not as good! A part of me wants to be selfish and not share, but.... I was told the weekly tray is made on Friday, and when it's sold out....you're sad, like me (so very sad!) I was told that it can sell out as quickly as the same day, or as long as Tuesday, but having it till Tuesday is pretty rare. Will need to look forward to my next trip out, and will have to definitely be more strategic on when I go!!
We had been eating a lot of heavy meals and wanted something a bit lighter and Mr. Falafel hit the spot. The owner is really nice and enthusiastic about his food. Tasty meat or falafel with lots of fresh veg wrapped up in pita or in a box. Food is very fresh and lots of sauces are on offer. Prices are reasonable.
Food is always so good here!Chicken shawarma wrap is bomb!! Been coming here for Years!
Strolled in the afternoon, incredibly nice service. Whilst my mother and I waited, the registrar engaged me into a pleasant chat. I showed appreciation for the Palestinian flag, and it was heart warming to see it in the heart of Morgan hill. Food was amazing! I went for the Chicken shawarma and it was packed with chicken and sauce at an almost perfect ratio.
Came to Mr Falafel for the first time on a Tuesday for dinner! We ordered take out. The inside is pretty small, only enough space for two small tables. They have some tables outside! The guy taking the order is funny and inviting! Great conversations while we wait for our food. We ordered chicken shawarma wraps, garlic fries, hummus and wraps! Yum yum yum! The garlic fries is 10/10! I should've ordered 2 orders! The wraps were delicious! He made sure to note which was spicy and which was non spicy! The hummus and pita bread is delicious. Definitely check this spot out! Everything tasted so fresh!
I finally went to Mr. Falafel and I loved it! I ordered the Regular Falafel Wrap ($10.00). The falafels were deep fried, wrapped in lavash bread, stuffed with tomatoes, onions, cucumber, tahini, spicy sauce and I added hummus and feta for an extra $2.00. It was delicious and very filling. I was pretty full half way through but ate it all because it was too good to not finish while it was still fresh. My husband ordered the Kefta Wrap and loved it. Definitely get the seasoned fries, they are perfect. Make sure to finished it off with baklava, which was freshly made and absolutely perfect. I know a little something about middle eastern food and this definitely makes the cut. Also, I have read the reviews and have heard from others that Mr. Falafel is rude, it may be just a difference in opinion but we didn't have that experience. He was pleasant, friendly, and pretty damn funny, straight shooter if you ask me. All in all, food is good and I'd return to support a local family run business anytime.
Was walking through downtown Morgan Hill, came across the famous Mr. Falafel and decided to come in for some french fries. Decided to check out the place and wow was it delicious! I decided to order the garlic french fries, and they were so tasty, they were hot, and fresh, and they gave a healthy serving! They were so flavorful! Worth 5 stars? ABSOLUTELY. Especially as a french fry lover, this definitely earned the 5 stars for me! I'll definitely come back to check out more of their food items - and I love how they have a case right in front with other food items to order, ready to go! So many options and I'll definitely come back. Service was lovely - the cashier came to me right outside to bring me my fries, and it was a successful visit. Worth checking out if you're in the mood for a tasty meal!
